The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I made a robot operated by rust
So last year in April I started working on this robot (for pictures see here), as they always fascinated me in many ways. The math behind robotics is beautiful and I just wanted to try stuff out. Back then I was still working in a lot of C++ and Python. When my cousin showed me Rust (he is working on some pretty cool stuff), I fell in love with it very quickly. So in October last year I decided to crate the whole control system of the robot in rust and I was trying to learn stuff on the way.

stepper_lib: Defines basic components, as the name suggests mainly stepper motors, but the library is currently scaling beyond that, I added servo motors, DC motors and I wanna add stuff like sensors and rotary encoders. It alone can control stuff like conveyors and so on very well, I recently added microstepping
What are some alternatives?
When comparing Tarator and syact you can also consider the following projects:
DrAI - Diploma project of Samuel Nösslböck and Rene Schwarz commenced in 2023
ros2_rust - Rust bindings for ROS 2
sybot - Rust library for coordinating components, defining robotic systems and their communication
SyArm_Mk1 - A basic robotic arm with four axes and a variable tool slot
zenoh - zenoh unifies data in motion, data in-use, data at rest and computations. It carefully blends traditional pub/sub with geo-distributed storages, queries and computations, while retaining a level of time and space efficiency that is well beyond any of the mainstream stacks.
rerun - Visualize streams of multimodal data. Fast, easy to use, and simple to integrate. Built in Rust using egui.
