    I feel so dumb haha. I imagine sounds would be so long to make with that many effects and if I could choose, I'd choose more animations for spells or damage anyway :p Speaking of which, do you think curses interface will be able to make a return? Or too buggy? I asked Slasthem's dev too on Github and he seems to take inspiration from upcoming Slash'em 9... but Slash'em extended is more my jam ;)

    These announcements always seem to happen in the late winter for some unknowable reason. Anyway, xNetHack version 7.0 is officially released! You can play it directly on hardfought.org, via an SSH client of your choice or in your browser with tiles. Windows binaries are available at the GitHub release page - follow the devteam's instructions for running on Windows. Or you can get the source from GitHub and compile it yourself.
