Game Crashes
The original game had a lot of bugs and was very prone to crashes that we cannot do much about. However if you try out the community decompilation project OpenLRR, this should work just the same and should have fixed the crash bugs! If not, one can report the bug on their GitHub and it might be fixed soon ^

Rock Raiders United is currently shut down. Here's why, and what we know:
If you want to run the original game, I'd recommend OpenLRR, it is a decompilation of the original game that fixes bugs and you should be able to run it on Windows 10 without any other fixes. Just replace your game's .exe with this one: https://github.com/trigger-segfault/OpenLRR/releases

Rock Raiders maps: New Level 8 by Rock on RR
I also use a tool called OpenLRR, which is a decompiled version of the game that attempts to fix many of its issues - most of the major random crash bugs the game used to have are fixed in this. It also allows you to mess around with a bunch of debug stuff.

Lessons from Open-Source Game Projects
Unvanquished - FPS arena game with some RTS elements. C++, libRocket

Murnatan not running
I would recommend Unvanquished instead. It's basically the same game but FOSS, much more polished, and there's a small but active community. Servers are often empty, but people will eventually come if you join one and you can play against bots in the meantime.

I really miss Tremulous
I enjoyed Tremulous as well. There's currently a sort of revamp (ignoring GPP/Trem 1.2), called Unvanquished. https://unvanquished.net/

Looking for (free) large scale multi player game(s)
Unvanquished the fork of Tremulous (who's not developed anymore) could fit.

Are you a licensed developer for consoles? Want them to support Godot out of the box so you don't rely on a third party? Please let Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft that you would appreciate them financing this support.

So a friend got me Natural Selection 2 (Windows) and I'm getting HEAVY flashbacks to a game I used to play on Linux...
You're probably thinking of Tremulous, which is also forked as Unvanquished. Started life as a Quake 3 mod if I remember correctly.

Here's a game I'm currently working on: UNvanquished (Links in Comments)
