  • Good sims for building bots?
    2 projects | /r/yugioh | 21 Jun 2023
I'm trying to write some bots (currently in Python but I'm flexible on this point) that, to boil it down, can query gamestate information (what cards are in what zones, how many cards does my opponent have left in deck, what cards are in my hand, etc) and send commands to a Yugioh simulator. The closest thing to my usecase that I have found is this, a C++ local server implementation that I can get up and running, but can't connect to (and digging through the implemented bots, it seems like a nightmare of undocumented C++ network protocol that would take me at minimum weeks to unravel in order to connect to it). Has anyone tried something like this before? Did anyone find a sim that has a convenient API for bots, particularly ones written in Python? Thanks in advance
