MainsailOS VS Vyper_extended

I used a MainsailOS image from https://github.com/mainsail-crew/MainsailOS/releases the ...orangepi-orangepi_zero2.img.xz image

You need a Raspberry Pi. I would recommend downloading MainsailOS and putting it on the Pi. That has all the things you need pre-installed and you only have to configure it

include the code from that mainsail.cfg file in your printer.cfg file(above the "Do not edit below this line" section)

You need to use raspi light "classic" or mainsailos from https://github.com/mainsail-crew/MainsailOS/releases/tag/0.5.0 to insure your raspian is buster and not bullseye.

Yes it would be the optimal way to setup Octoprint or finished Raspberry Images like FluiddPi or MainsailOS Octoprint is the „official“ base for Klipper though personally I never had a need for Octoprint Plug-ins and use FluiddPi since a year. Klipper has also its subreddit /r/Klippers

I used https://github.com/cryd-s/Vyper_extended.git for some Superslicer settings and it also has a printer.cfg for inspiration.

Then you'll need to insert the code under BL Touch into your printer.cfg

just a note this is like a 3 year old "3D Touch" that i had sitting around for years, just opened the package today and installed it on my vyper per CRYD Teams instructions https://github.com/cryd-s/Vyper_extended/tree/main/0_mods/BL_Touch_Mod

so this code is for a anycubic vyper same printer https://github.com/cryd-s/Vyper_extended/blob/main/printer.cfg copied and pasted my printer cfg into notepad++ and did a search but this pin is not being used....yes i could just delete this code i just added but really would like to have the fan not running constantly

The strain gauge seems to be a major problem for the Vyper. I am on my second one and I am really struggling to make it work. I've seen a bunch of videos relating to this mod you can see one here vyper extended it definitely looks like it works but it looks like you need a considerable amount of technical skill to do the job. Not so much on the physical side but more on updating the firmware to take into account the offset of the BL touch to the printer head. Good luck
