Has anyone tried this, for instance? https://github.com/ZeroQI/Lambda.bundle

Merging Libraries Without Losing Metadata?
Not completely. You can use the Lambda Metadata agent to extract some metadata to store it locally like posters (see the description of the Agent to see what it saves).
- Plex Title Card/Poster Export
-
Can you burn the metadata you have edited in Plex to your files so that you don’t have to edit them again if you create a new server?
Look into Lambda and XBMCnfoTVImporter.
- Export Photo Library Thumbnails?
-
Any way to save metadata corresponding to the file in nfo format, with the poster?

how to remove "upgrade libraries" notification?
If you're worried about losing your custom posters, try Lambda.bundle. It's a Plex plug-in that will save all of your artwork locally. Then all you need to do is make sure you have your libraries set to use local assets.
-
Did the last server update cause several items to get unmatched and reset a bunch of cover art for anyone else?
Restore the back-up, install the plugin Lamdba https://github.com/ZeroQI/Lambda.bundle. It will export all of your posters to your media folders as local assets. Then after the export, delete Lambda, switch scanner back to the newest and make sure you have prefer local metadata toggled. No more plex changing posters.

How to add movie cover art, synopsis, cast, etc. to digital movies
I heard there was an NFO plugin where you can have it extract all the information Plex imports like cast and stuff and save it locally. I have it running, but haven't messed with it much. It'll grab all the cast and such information and store it in a NFO file.

Playlists need to be improved.
Oh shit! I never even bothered to look because I asked a long time ago and was given and emphatic no. It looks like there is a playlist class. So I'll have to play with that and see what it can do.

Automating Plexamp: Play a random album from a collection (details in a comment)
I wanted a way to pick a random album from a collection and tell the Plexamp client connected to my speakers to play it. I wrote a detailed post about a simple way and a fancy way to do this using the unofficial Python Plex library.

Any idea why actors are appearing in Plex twice but under different movies? I only have one library

Is there a scan feature like the way car radios work?
There's no in the box option for that, but you can easily make something that can do it with things like the python plex api. Get random movie, send play command with offset for some random point. Sleep some random amount of time. Send a stop command and repeat the previous steps.

Plex playlist content to watchlist in bulk
You should look into the python PlexAPI wrapper library. Here is an equivalent script using PlexAPI.

Network activity keeps PC Awake
I am not sure if there is an official way most people do this, but I think the best bet would be to use data directly from plex - https://python-plexapi.readthedocs.io/en/latest/modules/server.html#plexapi.server.PlexServer.sessions to loop through every so often and get a list of current sessions (currently playing media). Once that goes empty start a timer for shutdown. If a session starts again end the shutdown, you could even look at to see if something is "paused" and have a different shutdown time for paused vs nothing playing if you really wanted.
