Has anyone tried this, for instance? https://github.com/ZeroQI/Lambda.bundle

Merging Libraries Without Losing Metadata?
Not completely. You can use the Lambda Metadata agent to extract some metadata to store it locally like posters (see the description of the Agent to see what it saves).

Can you burn the metadata you have edited in Plex to your files so that you don’t have to edit them again if you create a new server?
Look into Lambda and XBMCnfoTVImporter.

Any way to save metadata corresponding to the file in nfo format, with the poster?

how to remove "upgrade libraries" notification?
If you're worried about losing your custom posters, try Lambda.bundle. It's a Plex plug-in that will save all of your artwork locally. Then all you need to do is make sure you have your libraries set to use local assets.

Did the last server update cause several items to get unmatched and reset a bunch of cover art for anyone else?
Restore the back-up, install the plugin Lamdba https://github.com/ZeroQI/Lambda.bundle. It will export all of your posters to your media folders as local assets. Then after the export, delete Lambda, switch scanner back to the newest and make sure you have prefer local metadata toggled. No more plex changing posters.

How to add movie cover art, synopsis, cast, etc. to digital movies
I heard there was an NFO plugin where you can have it extract all the information Plex imports like cast and stuff and save it locally. I have it running, but haven't messed with it much. It'll grab all the cast and such information and store it in a NFO file.

Updated plex-poster-exporter: support for token authentication, dry runs
I updated the plex-poster-exporter script, which saves the background.jpg and poster.jpg alongside your media to support plex token authentication and ability to dry run.

You can bulk-export posters/covers if you have Tautulli using its export feature. There are also some scripts like this that will try to export all your posters/backgrounds and place them alongside your media (though I haven't tried that one myself).
- How can I access / Extract all the movie posters saved in the metadata for Plex?

Migrate posters from Plex to Jellyfin?
Either use this script or the lambda plugin to save the poster files locally.

PSA: Don't forget to back up!
U/walkinghard22 created a script that I will try on my new install... I found it on this thread
