LGTVCompanion VS RESTinio

Planning on picking up this exact model soon, just wanted to share this to wake the tv on lan when waking pc from sleep: https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion

I am attempting to set up the LG TVCompanion app (github here) after entering the MAC/IP/Device Id etc. I attempt to hit the "Apply" button and am getting this error linked here. I have no idea what to do..?

Get the LG TV Companion app to save yourself a lot of pain.

One of the really nice things about the C2 is way, way more people own one, and that means the community is big enough that it has solved its own issues. Literally every issue you can think of has a solution. For example they've built an app (https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion) that handles turning it on and off for you to match your PC's state. And even better, as someone who frequently streams games from my PC to my Nvidia shield in the living room, the app has a check box that allows it to shut my PC screen off while still telling the computer that an HDR connected device is attached which allows me to avoid unnecessary runtime (and eventual burn-in) on the pc monitor when i'm not actually looking at it while streaming. The only way to do that with an the ASUS monitor is to buy a dongle that tricks your PC into thinking it's another display and switch to that when you're streaming which would be totally janky.

In my past job, we used https://github.com/Stiffstream/restinio and absolutely loved it. It's not as active but it honestly didn't need much.

For networking, pick a networking library. Restinio is a fair choice for HTTP. But, again, feel free to pick others.

Contrary to the direction most people go, I've been writing REST APIs as C++ servers using two different fairly full featured C++ REST frameworks: first using https://github.com/Corvusoft/restbed and more lately using https://github.com/Stiffstream/restinio. These can be peers with any other server, while living on embedded and/or high compute devices for video encode/decode/analysis, deployed ML models, encryption for and remote process communications, model data collection and similar expensive or in-field processing. In both high compute and in-field-no-internet situations creating REST APIs in C++ enables speed and system controls not present in the majority of the mainstream REST frameworks. It's a big world, and here comes ubiquitous high compute...

If you need an embedded C++ HTTP server then there are plenty of libraries/frameworks (in random order): Crow, RESTinio, Boost.Beast, cpp-httplib, http_backend, Pistache, RestBed, served, proxygen, Simple-Web-Server, drogon, oat++.
