Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I'm a beginner and I want to start making 3D games. any good beginner tutorials/resources?
(10) not a game but beautiful water you can use in a game: https://github.com/Platinguin/Godot-Water-Shader-Prototype. (Note it is broken out of the box with 3.5.1 but all you have to do is re-import the “water plane” objects with the TexUV compression turned off to get it to work again - that probably sounds like gibberish now but you will understand it it the future).
- This used to be one of the most realistic ocean shader for Godot, if not the best...now this is all that is left :-(

Wave simulation vertex shader and transparency issue
Hi, I was trying to learn a bit about water simulation and implemented Catlike Codings Wave tutorial as a Godot vertex shader. It works pretty well, but when I use transparency, the rendering gets a bit messed up. Waves at a greater distance get rendered over nearer ones. I also checked out Ronny Mühle's really impressive water shader and it seems to have the same problem (it gets only really noticeable when your increase the wave height). As far as I understand, overlapping transparency can get messy, but I wanted to ask, if there is anything I can do to prevent this issue?

I hear rubber ducks are popular for stress testing physics
For your water shader have you looked into how Ronny Mühle/platinguin does his? He has the shader on Github under an MIT license.

What projects / addons / libraries are you missing in 4.0?
waterways

Skyrim inspired FPS demo, this is the best I can do before framerate dies...
godot 3.4, the water shader came with a river builder addon.

Creating a flowing river in Godot 4.0
You can try the godot 4.0 branch of the Waterways Add-on https://github.com/Arnklit/Waterways/tree/godot4_0 Should have all the features you need, or at least a good starting point to implement your own. I don't know if the godot 4.0 conversion is fully done or not, but it does run in 4.0

Made a small physics sandbox with a duck.
How about adding a water level with the waterways addon and rubber ducks for physics testing and meme purposes?

I made a hybrid body in Godot 4 for my precision platformer BarrelFall
I wonder if this plugin could be ported to Godot 4

For My First 3d Game In Godot Im Making A Game
Really amazing! Regarding the river: Have you seen the Waterways Add-On by /u/Arnklit? I didn't try it myself (only got aware of it from his posts here), but looking at the demo it seems to be a perfect solution for your water problem.

You can look through the code here: https://github.com/Arnklit/WaterGenGodot

A much requested feature is coming to waterways. Rigidbodies driven by flow and height map of river.
Well not all these changes aren't in my repo yet, but they will be soon and you can look through the code. https://github.com/Arnklit/WaterGenGodot.

Rivers In Waterways Can Now Use A Gradient For
What I'm doing in this example is then setting the "Clarity" to 0 so the water is opaque and then setting the new albedo gradient and gradient depth like seen in the bottom of this thread: https://github.com/Arnklit/WaterGenGodot/issues/5

Rivers in Waterways can now use a gradient for their albedo for a more realistic or stylised look
Well people can join my Patreon if they want to support me a bit. The tools I'm making for Godot are just free. https://github.com/Arnklit/WaterGenGodot
