FUS VS VookaRaylee

I used Wabbajack to install FUS. Needed to pay 5 bucks for a Nexus premium membership, but the modpack works perfectly. I think the Nexus premium is optional if you're okay with babysitting the installation and manually queueing up the next mod.

Theres plenty of pages on how to setup a clean install of of skyrim and how to set up and where to install wabbajack. And then its just a one click install for any premade list of mods. Idk, not having to pause a video and go back if you missed something having the steps to scroll up and down on a page was simpler for me.

Step 1: Start with a Wabbajack Modlist. I recommend FUS.

I second this - check out the FUS "modpack" - lots of VR-specific fixes and improvements, with optional Visual & Gameplay improvements. Really worth it. There's an install guide at the above link!

I'm building upon the FUS Wabbajack modlist by adding expansions and LotD, and I've reached the point of needing to merge plugins. I've gotten zMerge working, and I'm following Lexy's merging practices, but I'm stuck on the last step where you use merge plugins hide to disable/hide the plugins you've merged.

Use The Fus Modpack Which can be installed via Wabbajack which is a modpack auto installer.

Like I said I am completely new to modding anything let alone Skyrim VR but this mod list works great out of the box, I leave it on the second profile (FUS ROH) and it pretty much just works. Grab u/Eusth's VR mod called Vooka Raylee

One of my favorite VR games is actually Yooka Laylee using u/Eusth's VookaRaylee mod, which itself is based on his VRGIN template.

I consider myself a lazy old-school VR gamer: I like re-experiencing old games in VR, seated and with a controller. My favorite games in VR are all VR mods or VR ports of games: all Doom engine games and whatever crazy wads I can find on moddb.com (check out the Jazz Jackrabbit wad and the Zombies Ate My Neighbors wad!), Quake, Gamecube/Wii games, and Yooka Laylee using the Vooka Raylee mod, Myst VR, The Talos Principle VR.

My best VR experiences remain VR mods like GZdoomVR, VookaRaylee, and Quakespasm. There was also a time when Ghost of a Tale worked in VR, which was sublime. All of them were played using a good old Xbox controller, lying in bed, like God intended.

I got the limited time free Yooka-Laylee from the Epic Games store. I did the mod for vr( GitHub - Eusth/VookaRaylee: VR mod for Yooka-Laylee ). On my G2 it just starts with audio and a blank screen. I can get a screen and audio in Virtual Desktop with my Q2, but no control. Does it require a KB for one thing, or is there a way to use the Q2 controllers or Xbox controller? Any thoughts on the blank screen with the G2?
