  • What makes a great portfolio for landing a job as a graphics programmer?
    1 project | /r/GraphicsProgramming | 11 May 2022
I recently published a portfolio on Github that I've been working on in the past 8 months, it's a simple OpenGL physically-based rendering library that includes some of the most popular rendering algorithms. After having submitted a few job applications though, I found that it's rarely being looked at and I do not have any interviews yet. Maybe it's not appealing enough, maybe I need more experience with C++, maybe it's not the busy season. Anyway, I know job seeking can take a long time, perhaps around 3~5 months on average, so I will stay patient of course, but with this amount of time at my disposal, I'm thinking about creating another portfolio to increase my chances.
