Selected file is a bad archive file
I recommend manually installing mods. From their source. That way you’ll insure to have the newest version. I believe these mods are in kenans mod pack. Here’s a link https://github.com/Kenan2000/BrightNights-Structured-Kenan-Modpack

CBN Changelog: December 27, 2021. Happy New Year and Holidays!
Kenan's modpack generally has the most variety, but picking and choosing the specific mods in there might depend on what kind of playthrough you're after. The BN specific modpack can be found here: https://github.com/Kenan2000/BrightNights-Structured-Kenan-Modpack

GIGANTIC BL9 Sci-Fi Action Adventure Expansion Update
9) CDDA along with Bright Nights versions support - NO errors, working perfectly fine - get it here https://github.com/Kenan2000/BL9, https://github.com/Kenan2000/BrightNights-Structured-Kenan-Modpack as well

XL Power armour for mutants would be rad and probably good for balance?
Simple power armor is already implemented via Mutated Arsenal mod (probably need balance maintenance, but should work!)
-
Kenan Modpack going to be Bright Nights exclusive (with few exceptions)
I've made a decision to move to Bright Nights to continue updating my structured Bright Nights Modpack with actual folder structure, mods maintenance priority along with other important changes, you can find it using this https://github.com/Kenan2000/BrightNights-Structured-Kenan-Modpack, here

Crafting a pair of gloves would apparently take me a bit over 2 weeks of non-stop crafting and likely fail?
it's not really a sci fi spinoff, and there's plenty of mods for bright nights. you can find a good mod pack here: https://github.com/Kenan2000/Bright-Nights-Kenan-Mod-Pack

Mods like aftershock?
I like Kenan's BL9 mod, can be found in his Structured mod pack. If enabled from the start, the enemies can be a little rough to deal with but they fit nicely with Aftershock, so I just avoid them till I am ready.

More Survivor Stuff
From testing, I can tell you that everything in the non-archived section of the Kenan modpack (https://github.com/Kenan2000/CDDA-Structured-Kenan-Modpack) is working >99% of the time and is very actively maintained, though it will throw a few errors from time-to-time they are all non-fatal. Other mods are a gamble, but generally speaking this current string of experimentals is more feature-stable than the experimentals leading up to the 0.F stable release - that was the time when there was a big cull of mods over big feature changes.

If anyone in current experimental want to use the vamp_stuff mod

Can't find an updated version Axema's Vampiric Stuff mod
Maybe check out the canonical page instead: https://github.com/Kenan2000/CDDA-Structured-Kenan-Modpack

Magical Research (Magiclysm)
Big fan of Arcana and usually include it in any magical playthroughs. My last playthrough was with the keenan modpack (https://github.com/Kenan2000/CDDA-Structured-Kenan-Modpack) with an emphasis on BL9 (carried by arcana centipedes). Earning transcendent buffs is cool. Needing transcendent buffs is fun :)
- a random assortment of screenshots i found amusing.

What are your favorite mod combinations - mid 2022
Is that this one?

The mechanics for C:DDA is cool and in depth, but is there a version that is not a zombie apocalypse? Like a different story made with the same source code?
I'm not sure if it's maintained, but for a while there was a Dinomod mod that did this. Looks like it hasn't been updated recently though https://github.com/Kenan2000/CDDA-Structured-Kenan-Modpack/tree/master/Kenan-Structured-Modpack/High-Maintenance-Huge-Mods/Dino_Mad_Science

Mods for 0.D
The game ships with a few "official" mods. A lot of the community-supported mods have moved to the Bright Nights fork. You can find most of the remaining ones here: https://github.com/Kenan2000/CDDA-Structured-Kenan-Modpack
