Tiling 3D Noise in Bforartists/Blender
I use Bforartists, a UI-focused fork of Blender, for 3d graphics and some texture creationâlike this project. It doesnât fix every pain point, but I canât recommend it highly enough. This method, and the attached .blend file, will work just the same in mainline Blender.

There's a fork of blender called Blender for Artists that does what you're talking about. It adjusts the UI and functions to become a more artists focussed app.
