CyberChef VS python-codext - a user suggested alternative
2 projects | 6 Feb 2022
Ciphey seems to have a better performance and covers a broader scope covering decoding but also cipher and hash cracking. However, CodExt support far more encodings and is therefore better at guess-decoding.
2 projects | 15 Jan 2022CyberChef is definitely a wonderful tool, but codext supports some other encodings that CyberChef doesn't. Codext also features guessing and has CLI tools shipped with its Python packege.

basecrack VS python-codext - a user suggested alternative
2 projects | 6 Feb 2022
Debase is part of CodExt and supports maybe twice or thrice as many different base encodings than BaseCrack. Moreover, CodExt is almost zero-dependency while BaseCrack relies on many third-party libraries, whose exactness is not always proved.
2 projects | 15 Jan 2022I tried both ; codext performs better and supports far more base encodings than basecrack.
