Unbase - CLI tool for encoding/decoding all the bases
Unbase (part of the 0-dependency library CodExt), is a tool for encoding/decoding a large variety of base encodings that relies on an AI algorithm to decode multiple layers of base encodings. Note that, when installing CodExt, it is shipped with many handy baseX CLI tools.

CyberChef VS python-codext - a user suggested alternative

Ciphey seems to have a better performance and covers a broader scope covering decoding but also cipher and hash cracking. However, CodExt support far more encodings and is therefore better at guess-decoding.
2 projects | 15 Jan 2022CyberChef is definitely a wonderful tool, but codext supports some other encodings that CyberChef doesn't. Codext also features guessing and has CLI tools shipped with its Python packege.

basecrack VS python-codext - a user suggested alternative
2 projects | 6 Feb 2022
Debase is part of CodExt and supports maybe twice or thrice as many different base encodings than BaseCrack. Moreover, CodExt is almost zero-dependency while BaseCrack relies on many third-party libraries, whose exactness is not always proved.
2 projects | 15 Jan 2022I tried both ; codext performs better and supports far more base encodings than basecrack.

Looking for tools or examples to help identify unknown encoding methods.
Maybe CodExt might help too for some of your use cases...

Nice one ! I couldn't solve it with Basecrack but I got it with CodExt...
