• Problem with TouchCursor for PC

  Has anyone gotten TouchCursor's (TouchCursor - Cursor keys for touch typists (martin-stone.github.io) function to disable using certain programs? It just doesn't work at all for me whether I use the crosshair thing or just manually enter the process name. No matter what program it is that I'm trying to configure the disable for. To disable it in Edge it doesn't work to put in msedge.exe or to use the crosshair to point at Edge (which gives some asian lookin letters result that I don't understand actually).

  Not sure this is the best place to ask, but I guess there is some overlap at least...I am a long time windows user, I have quite a complex keyboard driven workflow, via https://github.com/martin-stone/touchcursor and a bunch of custom ahk scripts.

  If you're on Windows, do have a look at TouchCursor and / or SpaceFN. They basically allow you to use the spacebar for anything you're doing with AltGr - so much more efficient.

  Use TouchCursor. It will greatly boost your general productivity and you can access special characters like Umlaute by using the spacebar as a modifier.

  Would recommend a 60% if you don’t mind making and using layers using Touchcursor which doesn’t require any coding and doesn’t trigger anti heat software if you play online games

  https://martin-stone.github.io/touchcursor/ is the only one that allowed me to use Space as a modifier (you are not asking that, but thought of mentioning it...). Works on Win10

  - as for navigation, I've gone down the SpaceFN / Touchcursor road myself, i. e. I use space as a modifier that I hold down with my right thumb while using keys like ijkl for up / left / down / right, h for beginning of line, : for end of line, u for word left, o for word right, y for previous paragraph, - for next paragraph etc. Hold space and press any of these keys down for longer than a certain interval and I will enter selection mode (Emacs: activate mark) and do that movement, i. e. Space+hold : will select to the end of the line. Any further space combos will expand the selection by the respective movement, e. g. hold down Space+hold i+press u twice will select from point to one line above and then two words to the left. Again, this has been working extremely well for me.
