Is there a way of creating massive amounts of cards from a list?
Ultimate Geography comes with all countries and capitals. You can delete the card types that you don’t need (like maps, flags etc) or just suspend the cards.

Ultimate Geography v4.1 released
https://github.com/axelboc/anki-ultimate-geography#other-languages-and-versions
I've opened a support thread here: https://github.com/axelboc/anki-ultimate-geography/discussions/390 - we'll try to get to the bottom of this ;)
You should have no problem following the v4.0 upgrade steps with the v4.1 deck : https://github.com/axelboc/anki-ultimate-geography/releases/tag/v4.0. Follow the steps that apply to your situation, but when the time comes to import the v4.0 deck, import v4.1 instead.

Got to the end of Ultimate Geography. Where do I go from here?
FYI, UG provides an extended version with exactly those two extra templates: https://github.com/axelboc/anki-ultimate-geography#features!

Ultimate Geography Deck: bleeding edge
Have a look at the Contributing Guide for Ultimate Geography and you can see the instructions to setup the repo and build the deck yourself, if you like 😁 Otherwise here's the export 😉
The beta release for v4.1, which includes the Dutch translation, is now out! You can download it here: https://github.com/axelboc/anki-ultimate-geography/releases/tag/v4.1-beta

What shared decks did you wish exist?
I wish there were more good 'template' decks for generating ideas for how to design my own flashcards. As mentioned by others, the Ultimate Geography deck is amazing. So are the United Kingdom (UK) Geography: Regions, Counties, and Cities, English Grammar In Use Exercises, and Great Works of Art. Also, whilst people regularly claim that flashcards are bad for learning programming - I think the Python code quiz deck is a good example of how to do it right. Too many shared decks are simple back/front fields with little context and styling. Each of the mentioned decks have multiple fields that are put to good use through the note type and/or present the content in a good way.
