Problem With Subtitles on Shang-Chi and the legend of the 10 rings?
I linked the support article in my first reply: Adding Local Subtitles to Your Media, along with a couple sites you can use to search for those subtitles. If you're familiar with running Python scripts, you could also try running this, which should extract any subtitles you've recently downloaded via Plex's search to a folder that you can then copy alongside the file it belongs to.

They're stored in the Plex blob database as compressed text, and not editable directly. I wrote this script awhile ago that can dump all subtitles it finds into a directory of your choice, which you could then edit and place next to your media as an additional subtitle track. It's a very basic script without many options, but if you're familiar with Python you could probably expand on it to save the subtitles next to the media automatically, or even re-gzip them and overwrite the entries in the database.

Where are subtitles that are uploaded through the ui stored?
I just created this script, which in theory will dump all subtitles that are stored in the Plex database (named inline with the files they're associated with). It admittedly hasn't been heavily tested, but it worked for my server.
