Minecraft LAN multiplayer fix [Forge 1.16.5]
reddit.com/r/feedthebeast | 2021-06-17
What I do to fix it: 1. Go to your world's folder 2. delete every .dat and .dat_old file, exept level.dat (only in world folder, not in subfolders) 3. install NBTExplorer and open only level.dat with it (selector or drag & drop) 4. remove tag [fml -> Registries] 5. save and try it out It helps me, I spend about 10 h on it, damn Hey, if you know how forge works and why in versions like 1.12.2 or 1.7.10 was no problems like that, i would like to read that, thanks :)

Need help resetting nether for biomes o plenty

To change the world type for an existing world I think you need a NBT editor( this one is made specifically for Minecraft by the Storage Drawers dev) but I've never done it myself, just heard people suggesting it as a last resort for things like this.
How do I completely switch user data from one to another? [Modded]
reddit.com/r/admincraft | 2021-05-20
Edit the playerdata. You can just open it up with this: https://github.com/jaquadro/NBTExplorer
today i learned, that you can turn any world in to hardcore by dying by falling to nether portal (press F for my old world)
And just to follow up on this, NBTExplorer is a really good software to perform such edits on the minecraft files. Playerdata, world data, level.dat data, mod's data files, vitually anything that needs to be changed a value in a minecraft ecosystem nbt explorer will do.
Download NBTExplorer. Use it to edit the level.dat file in the save folder. There should be a key named player, and another key named health under it. If you're dead, health will = 0. Set it to 20 which is full health, save it, and the next time you join the world you will be alive.
In case anything like this happens again, editing or, in the worst case, deleting the player file would probably help. Changing dimensions/position in there is fairly trivial with the right tools. All you need is an NBTExplorerto edit the level.dat (or playerdata/[uuid].dat if this is a multiplayer world), change the dimension, pos and, if necessary, deathtime (to 0 for alive) of the player and you should be golden. Had to do that a few times in modded worlds with dimension shenanigans, usually worked out without a problem.
[Java] Are there any legal or ethical concerns with using the NBT format outside of Minecraft?
reddit.com/r/MinecraftHelp | 2021-05-04
Ianal, but the format is well documented, and third-party utilities exist that make use of it, such as NBTExplorer (https://github.com/jaquadro/NBTExplorer).

I think you can just change the game settings. If you can't and you are on java you can use NBTExplorer to change it.

I don't think your inventory is corrupt. movementSpeed is an attribute that can be set per player. Download a copy of NBTExplorer to edit your player data. If it's a single player world, your player data is in the /level.dat file (expand the "player" entry). for multiplayer it's in the playerdata folder. There should be an entry named "Attributes" that has the optional attributes for your player. By default, it should look like this. Just make your attributes match, and it should work.
The world seems to be messed up (split in half) along the z-axis. How does one fix it and why does this happen?
reddit.com/r/admincraft | 2021-04-13
Use NBTexplorer. (If you're using linux, you can launch it with mono). Make sure to change all the instances of the seed under the world gen settings. The bad chunks are already generated and you'll need a program like mcaselector to delete them so they can regenerate correctly.
