This issue is documented on the BlueRetro github, where it is the 5th-oldest reported bug, as well as by far the most commented. This issue has been known for at least a year and a half. Will's Console Modifications used to have this bug listed on the UnoRetro page, but they removed it - even though the bug still hasn't been fixed - which means you have to use the Internet Wayback Machine to verify on an old version of their website that they knew about it.

Yes! BlueRetro works with pretty much any BT controller and handles most controller -> console mappings automatically under the hood! You can even adjust and change mappings via blueretro.io config

Soon after the others offered to give royalty as well.

I even got a Chinese company, notorious for selling "clone" of OSHW projects, to support the SW development as well via GitHub sponsor.

I've been working on it for the last four years. I entertained the idea to make and sell the hardware myself. But in the end I learned that's it's not something I'm interested to get into. What I really like is working on the software.

It naturally pivoted into a more community driven project where multiple makers are selling various variations of the HW.

    I wrote a retrospective last years [2].

Will do. I knew it was open source, but didn’t realize some of the manufacturers were paying forward some of their profits to fund continued improvements https://github.com/darthcloud/BlueRetro
