  • mold

    Mold: A Modern Linker 🩠

  • Too many but I'm playing with mold at the moment which speeds up your compile linking time by a huge factor.

  • dvorak

Wayland keyboard remapping with dvorak - make ctrl-c ctrl-c again :)

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • opensnitch

OpenSnitch is a GNU/Linux interactive application firewall inspired by Little Snitch.

  • SysMonTask

Linux system monitor with the compactness and usefulness of windows task manager to allow higher control and monitoring.

  • solvespace

    Parametric 2d/3d CAD

  • antimicrox

Graphical program used to map keyboard buttons and mouse controls to a gamepad. Useful for playing games with no gamepad support.

  • https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox - My favorite gamepad to keyboard mapper

  • ytdl-patched

yt-dlp fork with some more features

  • https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp - great tool for offline capture of youtube and sometimes (depending on the site) other videos... for "homework"

  • SaaSHub

SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews. SaaSHub helps you find the best software and product alternatives

  • map2

Linux input remapping for your keyboard, mouse and more!

  • https://github.com/shiro/map2 - another neat remapper program. more complex and no gui but more scriptable

  • unsnap

Quickly migrate from using snap packages to flatpaks

  • https://github.com/popey/unsnap - Help users of snap to see if they have any packages that they could be using flatpaks for instead.

  • distrobox

Use any linux distribution inside your terminal. Enable both backward and forward compatibility with software and freedom to use whatever distribution you’re more comfortable with. Mirror available at: https://gitlab.com/89luca89/distrobox

  • https://github.com/89luca89/distrobox - allows you to setup podman/docker containers to run another distro with tight integration to host os. has some security implications but can be thought of as an easier alternative to Bedrock Linux that will probably require a lot more hard disk space.

  • asbru-cm

ÁsbrĂș Connection Manager is a user interface that helps organizing remote terminal sessions and automating repetitive tasks.

  • https://github.com/asbru-cm/asbru-cm - if you have a lot of ssh connections, this is a nice tool to manage them in a gui. If you are familiar with the Winblows software mRemoteNG, this is somewhat of an analog to that.

  • GitExtensions

Git Extensions is a standalone UI tool for managing git repositories. It also integrates with Windows Explorer and Microsoft Visual Studio (2015/2017/2019).

  • https://github.com/gitextensions/gitextensions/releases/tag/v2.51.05 - nice little ui for working with git. unfortunately, v2.51.05 is the last version that I can confirm works under mono (it was the last 2.x version and they completely rewrote the code from scratch in the 3.x series. My understanding was that it lost Linux compatibility at that point).

  • rename

Perl rename as a separate package (by subogero)

  • https://github.com/subogero/rename - perl rename utility. if you like the regex style used in perl / java / javascript / python / etc, then you will probably like this one much more than the rename command included in util-linux.
