just check out protonDB and/or lutris for future! They'll give you all the info you need to get games working, but 99% of the time I don't even bother checking anymore and just occasionally have to change proton version and it works immediately

And Manjaro, while being an ok experience in general, has its fair share of issues and Arch-based distros should NEVER be recommended to new users, since it offers no support to distros based on it and it expects users to fix their own shit when it happens, instead of actually fixing stuff other distros do.
