In Aseprite you can easily create tiles using the tiled mode to create ground textures that repeat themselves perfectly. A good example that I can use is Minecraft's block textures, especially the cobblestone. When placed next to each other they just connect, that's something that I find hard to do in Paint.NET without doing it manually which is a nightmare. It also has amazing animation tools and layers that make it the perfect tool for pixel art. I suck at animation, but using Aseprite's onion skin feature would certainly make that easier. If you would like to know more about Aseprite's features, then check out the website. Scroll down a bit and you'll see everything it has to offer with gifs showcasing its features.
