  • ExplorerPatcher

This project aims to enhance the working environment on Windows

  • There is the https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher which puts the whole windows 10 menu into windows 11. I personally like windows 11, tbh. The startmenu needs some fine tuning, true, but the system it self works pretty good.

  • Windows UI Library

Windows UI Library: the latest Windows 10 native controls and Fluent styles for your applications

  • I have had people tell me "no, Windows 11 performs great! It must be your PC" so I want to preemptively debunk that. The sluggish performance is fairly well documented at this point. The WinAppSDK, which I presume Microsoft uses to write these new "modern apps", has awful performance compared to the older frameworks. Things need to be snappier.
