  • ungoogled-chromium

Google Chromium, sans integration with Google

  • Firefox has been my go-to browser for years and I will definitely keep using it on my desktop, although I observed that it used too much battery on my M1 Macbook Pro, so I decided to give ungoogled Chromium a try, and additionally, followed these Chromium hardening steps (please keep in mind, I do not know for sure if these are actually good and valid steps to follow). I am pretty happy with it right now! It barely uses any battery, and is just as fast or maybe even faster than Firefox was for me.

  • ChromiumForWindows

Chromium installer and auto updater for Windows.

  • I don't think most people are aware of it, but here is the automatic updater: https://github.com/iklevente-zz/ChromiumForWindows (using it for a year or so, works like a charm)

  • uBlock-issues

This is the community-maintained issue tracker for uBlock Origin

  • I won't tell people what to do. I am pointing out that removing the blocking ability of the webRequest API means the death of uBO, I won't work to make uBO less than what it is now. good discussion here: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/338
