Btw, I opened this topic: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/discussions/1728 filter inconsistency is a bad thing...
  • And just like that, I left r/cringetopia. Yikes.

Do yourself a favor and get uBlock Origin in this case. Not only will it block ADs, web trackers, and annoyances, it enables you to block stuff based on filters.
  • uBlock Origin 1.38.* announcement thread
For ~2 years now browsers use mDNS to obfuscate local LAN addresses which prevents fingerprinting: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/1723 Pref is confusing (block local LAN IP instead of public IP or WebRTC completely), breaks pages, conflicts with browser setting (Opera?).
  • uBlock , the Prevent WebRTC option triggers Firewall prompt
No idea what you're talking about with the firewall prompt, but the Prevent WebRTC option is now native in modern browsers and uBO actually just removed it in latest "release candidate" versions. https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/1723
  • How does Ublock Origin store and use filter lists?
point me to the code https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock
  • Blocked requests reaching DNS resolver with "disable pre-fetching" enabled
  • Anyone else have trouble with the documentation?
Could have just asked the issue you face directly at https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/1714
In any case, the draft wiki is free to be edited, so anyone can contribute.

  • Adblock detecting in rustorka.com
For many years, this site has had an auto-redirect initiated by the server itself. It could only be avoided by setting cookies. The issue was discussed here: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/1518 At the end of May this year, the admin declared war on the blockers and arranged a vote: http://rustorka.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=267906 As you can see from its results, only 28% of users refused to disable the ad blocker, 41% voted to ban it, and 30% indicated that they didn't care. At the moment, the admin in real time checks the functionality of denying access to those users who use blockers, and the rules added to regular filters do not work for more than several hours. Therefore, the problem is solved in the optional filter Counters: https://github.com/easylist/ruadlist/wiki/RU-Adlist-links
  • New procedural filter :matches-path <- great addition :)
And here's the github issue/discussion that prompted the addition: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/1690
