In a lot of ways arch is simpler. First the now available installer is archinstall. You have a rolling release so you don't have to install a new version like you do with debian. Prior to switching you can check out https://archlinux.org/packages and https://aur.archlinux.org (get https://github.com/Jguer/yay for installing aur packages) for availability of your must have software if you want to be 100% certain. In my experience you have more stuff (more easy to install) than other distros. Arch wiki (and gentoo wiki) are probably the best distro wikis you're going to encounter. I would always recommend arch over other distros. I prefer vanilla arch and choose my software that I install but if you don't and struggle with install there is nothing wrong with an arch based distro,I would recommend EndeavourOS (plasma favour with KDE for you)
In my view, there is nothing to be said against using EndeavourOS, for example. This is basically Arch Linux with a graphical installer. Moreover, since April last year archinstall has been an official part of the Arch Linux iso file. This makes it quite easy to install Arch Linux.
