  • In a lot of ways arch is simpler. First the now available installer is archinstall. You have a rolling release so you don't have to install a new version like you do with debian. Prior to switching you can check out https://archlinux.org/packages and https://aur.archlinux.org (get https://github.com/Jguer/yay for installing aur packages) for availability of your must have software if you want to be 100% certain. In my experience you have more stuff (more easy to install) than other distros. Arch wiki (and gentoo wiki) are probably the best distro wikis you're going to encounter. I would always recommend arch over other distros. I prefer vanilla arch and choose my software that I install but if you don't and struggle with install there is nothing wrong with an arch based distro,I would recommend EndeavourOS (plasma favour with KDE for you)

  • archinstall

Arch Linux installer - guided, templates etc.

  • In my view, there is nothing to be said against using EndeavourOS, for example. This is basically Arch Linux with a graphical installer. Moreover, since April last year archinstall has been an official part of the Arch Linux iso file. This makes it quite easy to install Arch Linux.

  • InfluxDB
