  • xi-editor

A modern editor with a backend written in Rust.

A backend server for a text editor seems like a really great idea. For example, I'm trying to make an API client and even having an embedded JSON editor would be a lot easier with something like xi. Now that the xi GitHub repo is no longer maintained are there any projects trying a similar approach?

  • lapce

Lightning-fast and Powerful Code Editor written in Rust

I recently found out about https://github.com/lapce/lapce . I myself never tried it but its a actively developed one.

  • InfluxDB

Access the most powerful time series database as a service. Ingest, store, & analyze all types of time series data in a fully-managed, purpose-built database. Keep data forever with low-cost storage and superior data compression.

  • helix

    A post-modern modal text editor.

Not sure if this is what you want, but helix is quite cool. https://github.com/helix-editor/helix

  • druid

A data-first Rust-native UI design toolkit. (by linebender)

The project with nearly 50 commits this year, who's last commit was a few hours ago is dead?: https://github.com/linebender/druid

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
