  • wine-ge-custom

My custom build of wine, made to use with lutris. Built with lutris's buildbot.

  • You open Lutris, you go down to "Wine" under "Runners" in the left pane and click the "Manage Versions" button like this. Select a few of the most recent lutris-fshack ones and lutris-ge ones. Also you should grab the latest download from https://github.com/gloriouseggroll/wine-ge-custom/releases and download the tarball and extract it to ~/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine (and restart lutris if it's running).

  • docs

  • Anyone that follows the instructions at https://github.com/lutris/docs for Installing Drivers, Wine Dependencies (and if relevant, Origin/Battle.Net/Overwatch) should have no issues running games via Lutris when using the install scripts, even when there isn't a game-specific one.

  • InfluxDB

  • lgogdownloader

LGOGDownloader is unofficial downloader to GOG.com for Linux users. It uses the same API as the official GOG Galaxy.

  • There actually is lgogdownloader, which apparently implements part of the GOG Galaxy API, but it seems to only do listing, downloading, and installing of games, and not whatever else Galaxy does.

  • wine

Wine with a bit of extra spice (by ValveSoftware)

  • Proton is a build process and Python script that wraps around several technologies, including a fork of Wine developed by Valve.

  • Proton

Compatibility tool for Steam Play based on Wine and additional components

  • Lutris is a program which uses something they call "runners" to invoke various applications. In the context of running Windows applications, they use their "Wine" runner and rely on various per-game scripts to set up the wine prefix with everything it needs to run the game. Lutris does not and never did make use of Proton. They did, for awhile, make use of ValveSoftware/wine, but that version of Wine is meant to be invoked via the Python script called "proton"

  • OpenOVR

  • SteamVR is not embedded into Steam. It's just an application developed by Valve which acts as an OpenVR compositor. As I've already told you in other comments, OpenVR is an open specification and anyone with the knowledge to do so can develop their own OpenVR compositor. In fact, OpenXR works on Linux and can be used to play OpenVR games without SteamVR: https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR/-/wikis/OpenXR-Linux-Setup

  • wine-tkg-git

The wine-tkg build systems, to create custom Wine and Proton builds

  • TKG:
