December 2021 monthly "What are you working on?" thread

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/ProgrammingLanguages

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • xvm

    Ecstasy and XVM

  • Ecstasy update:

  • jam0002

  • I'm participating solo in LangJam at the moment. The theme of the jam is "patterns", and I ended up deciding to build my language (tentatively named SeekWhence) around mathematical sequences as a core primitive. A couple of examples:

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • tanjun

  • konna

A fast functional language based on two level type theory

  • Continuing work on my functional language Konna. The structured editor has progressed a whole lot recently - the most glaring bugs have been fixed and you can work with the entire language in it. The language itself is going well too, I'm currently thinking through:

  • spw-js

The grammar, parser, and runtime for the Spw language written for JavaScript

  • I'm working on releasing v1.0.0 of Spw (swoop) on January 1. https://github.com/spwashi/spw-js

  • Cwerg

The best C-like language that can be implemented in 10kLOC.

  • I finally broke down and started implementing an x86-64 backend for Cwerg.

  • tanjun-c

  • I'm so sorry for the confusion. That's on https://gitlab.com/unsafecast/tanjun-c

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • rover

  • And I've added this abstraction construct that is akin to mixins I believe, which allow you to define shared behaviour between objects, which can then be 'added' to an object. For a glimpse at the project, please checkout: jvcmarcenes/rover

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
