On the other hand, I see that other big brands don't use Wordpress on their websites. For example: https://monday.com/, https://trello.com/, https://asana.com/, https://www.twilio.com/, https://sendgrid.com/ and many others...
Usually when new client arrives and asks for self-hosted corporate website I recommend something like Wordpress platform + visual page builder (no-code tool like Elementor). So company's marketer or assistant can easily update any content/section on the website by using the page builder's editor. This approach is very productive and fast.
That's why I love Wagtail, a CMS built in django with a solid headless API. Whenever we need to extend the CMS, we're working in the same web framework and ORM we use for our backend, rather than having to deal with php spaghetti in Wordpress. You can even use wagtail's editor as a near-drop-in replacement for the stock django admin site
