hello I have already rewritten an artnet library https://github.com/hpwit/artnetESP32 I can do 32/35 universes up to 20-25fps. using Wifi I want to use ethernet to be able to go further than that. And using some ethernet modules I have less performance than Wifi. I wanted to have other people feedback on with ethernet module to use
Out of curiosity, are you using KaeLL's ESP32-W5100 component or something else? I'm currently using Arduino as a IDF component with a modified version of the Arduino W5500 library and getting decent results, but would love to strip away some of the overhead.
It does use the ethernet event handler. Take a peek at the latest basic ethernet example and you can easily identify the W5500-specific code.
