termite
Discontinued Termite is obsoleted by Alacritty. Termite was a keyboard-centric VTE-based terminal, aimed at use within a window manager with tiling and/or tabbing support.
I'm very happy with Wezterm. I could be configured via Lua, has build in image preview and a lot of other features.
I would advise to just read the kitty documentation: https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/
Yes, alacritty is pretty heavy-handed with CPU. And theres nothing like having your battery drain faster the more terminals you have open to make you feel productive. https://github.com/alacritty/alacritty/issues/3108
