Hmm, seems a known issue according to https://github.com/Winetricks/winetricks/issues/272 with 64bit prefixes. I'd create a new 32bit wine prefix and try that. But often if you're new to linux, like me, there's ready-made Lutris scripts that can make installing a lot easier, although a quick search I didn't find one for this game.
