Dictionary conversion tool for Mac OS X 10.5 and above

I dropped the dictionary in .mobi format (for Kindle) into DictUnifier, and nothing happened. I even converted (using calibre) to .zip — nothing. Furthermore, I tried extracting the files from the file and also nothing. I later packed them to .tar — still nothing. I'm currently converting from .mobi to .epub, but I'm not pinning any hopes. I've the impression that this program just doesn't work, or uses some specific extension.
