BTW if I made an alternative to samplv1, one of the reasons was the lack of support for v1 plugins in Ardour. https://github.com/clearly-broken-software/drops/releases/tag/v1.0-beta.1 There are binary downloads, no need for compiling.
all v1 plugins from the yours truly repos are supported in ardour; problem exists if ardour and any of the v1 plugins are not buildt on and to the same system libraries (notably ardour.org's supplied binaries); though if you install an run the statically linked v1 from the aforementioned repos, they should work all fine on any ardour build, let alone any other host.
