This has worked extremely well for me in all use cases except one: with OpenShift Virtualization 4.8, the Containerized Data Importer relies on a field that is improperly filled by the democractic-csi snapshot provider. The result is that I'm unable to clone DataVolumes. I worked around this by using NetApp's ONTAP simulator + Trident.
