I don't think I've ever seen one with hundreds of developers, but there are a lot of open source games that have had many contributors over the years. https://github.com/NetHack/NetHack is the most "famous" example that comes to mind.
Warzone2100 Not nearly hundreds, but at 97 contributors it's still a very large project. Originally a paid game, the source code was made freely available after the original company went under, and has been driven by fans ever since.
OpenTTD 119 contributors according to their Github. Also a very solid game.
