The title seems sensationalist, https://github.com/tenacityteam/tenacity/graphs/contributors shows that the "maintainer" in this case has only 6 commits in the entire repo:
Maybe you should read up on the whole thread before making a random comment. They are sharing the usage data with third parties like Google and Yandex and as many users point out it's not that hard for Google to find out the identity of the user using Audacity if they're signed in to their google account.
