At last I have found an assistant that works for linux. It is not as accurate as google but probably better than cortana.

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/linux

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • plasma-mycroft

Plasma integration of different Mycroft AI services.

  • mycroft-core

Mycroft Core, the Mycroft Artificial Intelligence platform.

  • Mycroft, yup, it's pretty awesome. Definitely could use more work though, especially on the desktop. I at least have several PR's open to get it to follow the XDG Base Directory specification which is a good first step.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • mimic2

Text to Speech engine based on the Tacotron architecture, initially implemented by Keith Ito.

  • winget-cli

WinGet is the Windows Package Manager. This project includes a CLI (Command Line Interface), PowerShell modules, and a COM (Component Object Model) API (Application Programming Interface).

  • There's also winget directly from Microsoft, and it seems to be open source.
