Yes, the AI in AdvCiv (and K-Mod) will evaluate your stack and catapult it, then attack it if it makes sense. It's also smart enough to abandon cities it has no hope of defending, saving the units. It's pretty impressive. There's a few more changes in that mod to make the AI more capable - it sucks are worker stealing so now workers just die when attacked.
