  • Depends on what your user base needs. Python.org installer works, but you could also go the route of homebrew. Sure, it's extra stuff you don't "need", but maybe you'll want to use it for some of that extra stuff later (you can install just about anything popular on the mac via brew now, including GUI apps) If you've got a bunch of developers and they're using brew already, you're basically saving them a step. Your non-developer users won't care anyways.
