Things to do after installing Fedora 40

  • As other commenters have alluded to, you are missing the proper Nvidia drivers. Consider applying the steps found under "NVIDIA Drivers" on this post install guide.

  • ublue

A familiar(ish) Ubuntu desktop for Fedora Silverblue.

  • I'd argue you could have been more verbose; it helps with collective troubleshooting. However, if you just want a relatively easy setup+forget and don't mind exploring immutable distros, then perhaps the Nvidia images as provided by uBlue are what you're looking for. There's no better supported platform for Nvidia within the 'Fedora-space'. Note that uBlue is not a distro, it's built on the foundations laid by the team behind Fedora.
