    At a previous client gig at a startup, we used Matomo (https://matomo.org/) for basic analytics and it did the job.

    Umami is a modern, privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics.

    When I was reasearching GDPR friendly analytics solutions I stumbled upon multiple options that look somewhat similar. One that looks similar to both Fathom and Plausible is Umami and they offer a free tier.
