  • microceph

Ceph for a one-rack cluster and appliances

  • Have you looked at Microceph as a simple way to get Ceph going? Purists will complain you're not doing Ceph "properly," but this is a heck of a lot easier to stand up and run if your needs are straightforward. And I don't see why you need to be an expert in everything you're running in your homelab from day one, you can always come back and hand tool Ceph later if you feel a burning desire (and learned enough) to do so.

  • ceph-containers

OCI compliant Ceph Container Images based on Ubuntu LTS

  • InfluxDB

  • garage

(Mirror) S3-compatible object store for small self-hosted geo-distributed deployments. Main repo: https://git.deuxfleurs.fr/Deuxfleurs/garage (by deuxfleurs-org)

  • OP, I use https://garagehq.deuxfleurs.fr/ on a bunch of low powered boxes (think Intel NUCs) in different locations that form a storage cluster backed by drives which have ZFS as their filesystem.
