Using the proton-ge fork it’s been working like a charm (except quitting for some reason, but I can use the deck UI to force it to exit). Upstream proton is missing some patch regarding shared resources (or something like that) that is necessary for the login screen. I installed proton-ge using ProtonUp-Qt.
