    • (I imagine this understanding in the Nix community goes back to at least 2017. AFAIK the framework grew out of practices in the development of Django and was already explicitly acknowledged as an organizational principle by the end of 2015 IIRC and I know that Daniele Procida / Divio had been promoting/advocating this approach to documentation by at least May 2017 when he presented it at PyCon [https://youtu.be/azf6yzuJt54], blogged about it from Divio, and it made the rounds on HN. Some people may have known what Django was doing right earlier than this--it was obviously something they had been doing for a while before packaging and advocating for it.)
