It installs the dependencies at the beginning using Python, and that can take a minute or two depending on your setup. This only happens once. Did you download v1.0 beta? The first comment I made (but quickly edited) pointed to an older version which isn't compatible with the latest tvOS versions.
I love Python, but I really wish I didn't have to use it here. The reason I do is that tvOS changed the way network remote control works, and the only library that could do that was / is a fantastic Python library called pyatv: https://pyatv.dev/.
