Just wanted to share my HyperHDR setup.

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/smarthome

  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • WLED

Control WS2812B and many more types of digital RGB LEDs with an ESP8266 or ESP32 over WiFi!

  • Not the OP, but I separate them and run WLED on the ESP so I can use the LEDs for lighting automatons and notifications even when the TV is off. The various forks of Hyperion work well for a TV Ambilight-esque setup, but don't have nearly as many general purpose lighting options as something like WLED.

  • adaptive-lighting

Adaptive Lighting custom component for Home Assistant

  • The majority of the time, Home Assistant connects to WLED for Adaptive Lighting, accent lighting, and visual notifications. When I watch a TV show/movie, Hyperion "takes control" of the WLED instance, and does its thing. I also have overrides within HA that can temporarily disable the Hyperion control so I can get LED notifications mid-movie if I want.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
