    first: find a setup that works for you. i always recommend getting familiar with your command line (for mac it's the Terminal app, for windows it's probably PowerShell) before anything else. then, download a recent version of python that's still within its lifespan. find a code editor you like (i prefer visual studio code, but there are many others) and tinker around! get used to your new surroundings.
